How Lance Ekum started their logo design journey
Jungle of Life
I’m redesigning my website (http://www.jungleoflife.com/ ) to more accurately reflect the purpose of the site. For the past three years, the site has been a blog. I am looking to take this to the next step, and start to offer coaching services to the audience I have built up.
The new logo will represent the purpose of this site – which is to inspire people to reach their own “true peak”.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The target audience is people aged 25- 55, who are looking for inspiration in their lives, and who want to actively investigate their own personal growth. While my audience is a mix of people, the majority of my visitors tend to be females between the age of 30 – 50.
The key pieces for me are that this logo be attractive to those people looking for personal inspiration in their lives, and that it be gender-neutral, while still being aesthetically pleasing to the female majority that frequents my site.
Simplicity and elegance are important features in the design of the logo.
I like the logo that I am currently using.
See http://www.jungleoflife.com/ for what this looks like currently, plus see the attached files.
The site is: The Jungle of Life – A Journey Toward Your True Peak
The focus of the site, going forward, will be to continue providing material that is inspirational while moving also into the coaching realm.
The logo currently is a zen circle around the words “The Jungle of Life” and “a journey toward your true peak". However, I feel that it doesn’t easily reflect “true peak”, which I plan to put more focus into.
So, the key points are:
- Elegant, yet also very easy to read
- conveys the idea of "true peak" and "journey"
- feels inspirational
