logo for Great Lakes Pizza Company

I am starting a delivery\carry-out pizza business in Michigan. I want to maintain the image standards of a national chain, but with a distinctly regional flavor. For this reason, I am giving the store a name that will invoke positive, local imagery and also allow for regional expansion.

The attached image is one that I used for a previous business with the same model. It was generally well received and I liked it as well. The business was located within walking distance of the state capital building thus the reason for the capital building as part of the logo. One design idea i had was to use a similar layout except use the a map of the state of Michigan or The Great Lakes as the outline. I am open to other suggestions as well, this was simply one idea. I would like to see some designs that perhaps use a sailboat, beach scenes or possibly some other maritime theme in addition to the Great Lakes. Finally, I would like to add the tag line, "the best kept secret in pizza!" to the logo.
