International Registry of Counselor Education Programs
IRCEP is a new registry of counselor education programs outside the US. A global committee will oversee the approval process of applicant programs from around the world who wish to receive this recognition. Counseling is a dyamic and growing field in the global community and IRCEP is leading the way in providing recognition to preparation programs.
This new venture is an affiliate of the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Realted Education Programs (CACREP) which accredits graduate counseling programs in the US. Like CACREP, we would like IRCEP to convey an image of quality, while also seeming dynamic and friendly. We do not want to impose US standards for counselors and counseling on the rest of the world, but rather provide a forum for international programs to have a peer review process for establishing international standards of quality in conselor preparation.
The founding IRCEP Committee has representative from India, Australia, Turkey, Italy, Romania, as well as the US.
We would like to create a brand image for 2 different, but related markets. One is international students who might be looking to begin a counseling program either in their own country or another country. The other is faculty and administrators in universities with counseling programs outside the US who would like to have their progams approved and listed on the registry. The majority of both audiences will be seeing the logo on the website rather than in print media.
IRCEP's logo needs to have 3 components:
We would to incorporate one element from CACREP's logo - the check mark to represent the mark of quality. (CACREP's logo can be seem at http://www.cacrep.org. This is an older website and should only be used to see and/or capture the logo.) It should not be that exact checkmark - it can be round, swirling, anything else as long as it is recognizable as a checkmark.
The other element is some kind of a globe to signify the international aspect of the organization. It can be realistic, stylized, any representation of the global idea.
The third aspect is the acronym "IRCEP" We would like the 5 letters to be part of the logo in some way.
Although the logo will be most viewed on the IRCEP website, it will also be used on letterhead and a few print items, so something easily printable would be best, and maybe something that works in both color and balck and white.
We want a master vector based eps / illustrator file. We wuold like a package that includes a gif, jpg 300 dpi, web (72 dpi) with a bundle of widths of 200, 300, 400.
