Logo for a Flame-working & Glass mosaic Artist

Ataraxy Glass

I design, create and sell glass mosaics and jewelry. The mosaic facet is mostly small wall hangings (custom orders available) and the jewelry facet is done via a flame (a.k.a. lamp) working process (I hand-make the glass beads used in the jewelry). My target audience is primarily women between 20's & 50's.

I'm open to other colors, but shades of blue have long been associated with tranquility, peace and calm, which is the meaning ataraxy. Also, the flame of an oxy acetylene torch is bright blue (see references).

My company is just me working on a very small scale (mostly out of my apartment - see photo). The meaning of the word Ataraxy is "freedom from emotional disturbance; tranquility." I chose it because that is the state I am able to achieve while working with glass. Many of the wall hangings are simply words I find inspiring that play on this theme of equanimity. I would like a logo that honors the process of working with glass at either capacity (mosaic or flame working) - perhaps a flame, or a bead on a mandrel, a glass cutter scoring a sheet of glass, or an indication of glass's reflective property could be incorporated. I am open to other ideas! the images included are a few examples of my work and space
