Mane Street (sneak peak available at http://www.manestreet.com/home.jsp)
Mane Street is a marketing company started by a small group of interactive marketing specialists with a passion for horses.
Horse lovers. We are targeting those who live the equestrian lifestyle. The majority are girls and women, often more affluent. They love horses. They own 1 or more horses and spend 2-4 hours at the barn most days. They may ride english or western, do dressage or jump, race or drive so we need to be sure the logo works across riding disciplines.
Mane Street is a shopping comparison website for all things equestrian. Essentially, if you are looking for anything horse-related, you can "find it on Mane Street". There you will find price comparisons from different retailers offering that item, reviews, product info, etc. We save people time from searching every store individually, provide in depth product information and help them find the best deal.
The logo should be a very clean, simple design that doesn’t distract the customer from the products. It needs to be classy to go with the equestrian lifestyle. Contemporary to look like a cutting edge marketing company. Horsey, so if it were standing alone, you knew the company had something to do with horses.
The company name came from the idea of shopping downtown on Main Street, but we changed “Main” to “Mane” for the horse world and because all the stores on Mane Street would be horse-related.
Initially I was thinking of doing an old fashioned street sign with a lamp post. If you look at the website (under development at http://www.manestreet.com/home.jsp), I played with this idea, but I just didn't feel the result was strong enough, contemporary enough or professional enough. I am open to refinement of this idea and to original concepts.
