Energy Central is a knowledge and professional services firm connecting professionals in the energy industry. We offer a variety of services from news to consulting with electric utilities being our core audience. This is a B2B business, very high end and professional. We connect the industry- provide them a forum for discussion and interaction.

Logo should communicate that we are a top notch knowledge and professional services firm. It should be clean, simple and professional. We've decided to move away from the icon approach and would prefer for the design element to be included within the name "Energy Central". We don't want to include a tagline under the name. It must be able to show up if used very small and taglines do not. We like the font choice used in #369. It looks like news font. (especially the "g") but none of the icons submitted said "professional & knowledge services" to us. Target audience is 40-58, mostly males, highly educated- white collar, global but mostly US, all energy information based.
