Seeking logo for Dos Libros (which translates "Two Books"), a soon-to-launch webstore. Our mission is to "enable people to learn Spanish effectively and efficiently." We need a new and original logo that not only incorporates the name but that also suggests knowledge and/or learning. We're not designers so we really need your help...
Dos Libros (http://www.doslibros.com)
Dos Libros is a soon-to-launch company and webstore (http://www.doslibros.com) with the mission of "enabling people to learn Spanish effectively and efficiently." We provide innovative resources and tools for individuals based on their specific reasons/needs for learning Spanish. For example, in addtion to providing supplemental resources for classroom settings (i.e., for teachers and students), we also cater to individuals learning Spanish for professional reasons (e.g., doctors/nurses, law enforcement, professional services, etc.).
The name translates from Spanish as "Two Books," and we think we should incorporate this them into the logo.
We're not designers, so we really don't have a preconceived design in mind. The company name could/should be incorporated into the logo, but we'd like it to be in such a way that the graphic could be alone, as needed.
We don't want the logo to scream "Spanish!" because it is a concept that may work for other languages. However, we do want the logo to be a little "deeper" than just "two books." We want it to imply "knowledge" and/or "learning."
The logo (with or without the company-name portion) will be used in printed products in addtion to online content, so we would like to have a design that could be used in both places. We're not opposed to having multiple versions of the same logo such as more colors for an online version and less colors (maybe a two-color version) to be used on print products.
We would say something like it should be "contemporary" or "classy," but we really don't know what any of that means...
- Incorporate the translation of the name "Two Books"
- Use company name in logo, but in a way that the graphic could also be used alone
- Create a feeling of "knowledge" and/or "learning"
- Version(s) appropriate for online content as well as for printed products
- Not overtly "Spanish" in feel
