I am a parent that decided to learn first aid as I was well aware that I didn't know any at all. On my journey I discovered that I am not alone - most parents don't know basic first aid. Kids will be kids of course, and basic first aid skills are essential for any parent, and that is why I am launching this blog - in an effort to raise awareness and training amongst parents.
Basically anyone who has, or who works/looks after kids (of all ages). The main target audience will be parents though.
I want a logo that I can use on the web, in print, on T-shirts etc. At the moment, our logo is quite basic and it really doesn't catch what it is I am trying to do - so I am looking for someone with a creative flair that can merge together the web domain, design requirements (that it is about first aid and that it is for parents) but at the same time create something that is instantly recognisable and unique.
NB - we CANNOT use a Red Cross on a white background in the logo as this is an internationally trade marked symbol and needs government approval. Please use a white cross on a green background as this is the international symbol used on all first aid kits and, especially in the UK, is what is legally required to be on first aid kits.
Please avoid "fancy" fonts that are hard to read. And please don't make the logo too feminine or masculine (it should be neutral to appeal to both sexes).
Please feel free to experiment with colors!
The files we will require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo and make sure that it is all your own work.
Many thanks for considering this project. Your design could be used on something that, if has the desired impact, will save the lives of children. I think that this is quite a unique challenge and look forward to seeing what you do!
