How Matt74 started their logo design journey
I am a young guy who is setting up a business breeding and competitivley showing / selling Arabian Horses. This is a life long dream and I like to consider myself a boutique type breeder. A small selection of very fine and elegant horses made available both here in Australia and abroad. The culture of the company is professional ; clean cut ; and 100% quality.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
This is not a new audience this is an existing auidence and by all accounts it is to address others interested in Arabian Horses. I am not trying to appeal to pony club / cutesy type buyers, it is more the higher end type buyer - preferrably the type of people who appreciate elegance and like the finer things in life.
Arabian Horses are very unique in their appearance so the logo must represent the elegance of the Arabian Horse with its swan like neck and beautifully sculptured features. I envisage the company name "Siekeya Arabians" or an S & A represented somewhere in the logo and I see a graphic of an Arabian Horse or a graphic of an Arabian horse head.
I have attached some examples of the type of thing I like.
1) Hennersey Arabians
2) Shada Inc
3) Stud Logo
Please note that a generic horse graphic not displaying the characteristics of an Arabian Horse will not do. Our industry is very specific around the beauty and apperance of the Arabian. I do not like a cartoon type approach and would really like to keep away from that - it needs to reflect elegance; refinement and quality.
If you are wanting to see pictures of an Arabian Horse so as to understand the phsyical appearance, then take a look at http://www.magnumpsyche.com - I am trying to capture that swan like arched neck with a finly scupltured face so when you look at the graphics on the logo you know instantly this is advertising an Arabian Horse breeder.
