How LiquidFiles started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
"Liquid Files is a Virtual Appliance that helps companies send Large Files Securely to their customers, partners, or just within the organisation itself. Being a virtual appliance, you install it in your data centre, behind your firewall so that you regain control over your data and maximize transfer speeds."
The product in it's function is sort of like YouSendit but as a product that can be installed at a customers site, in their control. Target market is corporates and organisations between 20 and 1000 people. Typical customers include media companies that send really large 10Gb+ files around, law firms and medical institutions who like that they don't have to use cloud services for sensitive data, and price sensitive customers who prefer to purchase a product where they bring their own storage and bandwidth. In terms of weight, 90% of customers purchase becuase of the ability to send large files and 10% because of the security aspect of it.
A slogan that is still a work in progress is "Your Files in Your Control". Not sure yet and not sure we would want it included in the logo, especially since it speaks more to the security aspect which is less important that the large aspect.
