How Carolyn Ward started their logo design journey
My name is Carolyn Ward and I passionate about colour and restyling. Over many years I have assisted friends and family to help them with choicing colours and make suggestions for reorganising their homes. I really enjoy the end results and find myself getting really excited with these projects. I now have a reputation amongst these people and would like now preuse this professionally. I am a details person (hence the company name finicky) and find myself visiting friends/families and redecorating their homes in my mind. I registered the company name a couple of years ago and am finally in a position to launch.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
People who would like to declutter their homes or office.
People who may be listing their home for sale and need to present it properly.
People who are overwhelmed with sorting through everything and just need a helping hand. Maybe older people who are not as capable or people who are time poor.
People who are not confident with choosing colours for their home and need advice with intergrating all aspects.
People who just want to freshen up their homes with some new ideas and colours.
I love elegant, slick and fluid designs. A sample I like from 99 designs website is Artsysmoke (Mercury Waters), as it appears dream like and delicate but clean. Purples, plums, magenta & mocha are colours I like - strong and rich. I like modern oriental styles and clean lines. I like chinese brushstrokes and delicate fonts however still a little bold. Not fussy but slick. Happy to consider muted sophisticated colour combinations. Font styles I like are: Tahoma, Papyrus, Verdana, Palace Script but happy to explore other fonts. Needs to be easy to read - some business cards are difficult to read.
