beroccstar got their new logo design by running a design contest:
New identity for trends & marketing company
Check out beroccstar's Logo design contest…
FrontierJapan is a marketing and trends company based in Japan. WeÂ’re looking to overhaul our corporate identity to something more funky, modern, fresh and powerful. As a minimum we'll need a logo+letterhead, but we're also open to a new website + flash..get creative!
What's your vision?
Tagline: insight + inspiration = innovation (optional) Desired Color Scheme: Something bright - no corporate blues/greys please! Desired Style: High impact, confident, professional, creative, schmick. Use of gradients/shadows/light. Accepted File Formats: Original AI plus a high res JPG; Flash One of our team has had a go at redesigning our business cards (see http://www.frontierjapan.com/new-identity/cards.jpg) and website (see http://www.frontierjapan.com/new-identity/website-concept.jpg). We dont mind these, particularly the business cards. We wish the web design wasnt so square though. If you can improve the existing design or come up with something different altogether, were totally open to new ideas. Anything looking standard or cheesy will not be considered we're looking to convey professional integrity and create a lasting impression of creativity and attitude. Well structure the competition as a series of options so you can choose how much or how little you want to offer. >> Logo + Letterhead: $250 For a logo that works well with the cards and homepage weve already designed, the prize is $250. Well leave it to you as to where on the website the logo should go, but please ensure logo is reversible ie. works (or can be easily adapted to work) on both coloured and white backgrounds. Once were agreed on the logo well then need you to incorporate it into a simple A4 letterhead in AI format. >> Touch-ups: $50 If you can make any slight improvements to our proposed business cards and web design and we like them well pay you $50 for the right to incorporate them. Editable AI files are available for download at http://www.frontierjapan.com/new-identity/editable-file.htm . >> Logo + Letterhead + Business cards + Un-coded website: $450 If you can come up with something better than the designs weve made ourselves and can provide us with all we need to run with your idea, i.e. logo, letterhead, business cards and website concept/instructions (see below), then if we choose to use it your prize will be $450. The site design will need to incorporate an element of movement to give us a dynamic, fast moving image. You dont need to implement this yourself (we can create a new competition for that), but we would need to know how you see the movement element working - as a guide see the instructions accompanying the design were currently considering, at http://www.frontierjapan.com/new-identity/flash-instructions.jpg . Any images used on the website should be either royalty free for commercial use or provided by us (in which case please just leave a space where images should be and note any ideas/suggestions). >> Flash: $150 If you choose to have a go at designing a completely new identity for us and you happen to be good with flash, then instead of writing instructions for movement feel free to create a ready-to-go Flash file. If we like it well up the prize to a total $600. If you need any further guidance or info please feel free to message me. Best of luck! P.S. We need this asap, so whilst we've left the competition open for 10 days we're keen to close early if possible. :: UPDATE :: I have added some more information about our company and the business card culture in Japan on the discussion page for this contest to give you more to work with.
