BookmarkCentral.com
We provide free technology that runs public access computing locations (cyber cafes, Internet browsing centers, public telecentres, libraries) across the world -- and via its use results in better management, captures social metrics and increases profits, thus contributing to sustainability and bridging the digital divide.
OneRoof was established in 2005 as a social franchise company and originally opened scores of its own browsing centers in rural India and Mexico -- but is now a unique technology and consumer utility provider.
BookmarkCentral.com is the new name for our cloud-based bookmarking site in which you can easily create Categories, assign personal bookmarks to them -- and access (and/or share with others) from anywhere -- and no longer be tied to a computer or browser being used.
The product also offers a unique single-entry search bar which allows instant search in any of 6 leading Search Engines - and comparative results without re-entering your search terms.
In free personal versions made by consumers, one also can also show their Facebook and Twitter live feed windows, as well as display favorite RSS news feeds. A new GUI will be launched shortly, but view http://www.oneroofbookmarks.com for current site.
The logo for BookmarkCentral.com need be bold, easily readable (in both small, medium displays) and convey the Bookmark Central name AND the web address (by including .com in the logo).
We would like a few bright, Google-like colors -- as this need appear "Web 2.0" and appeal to people of all ages, cultures, countries.
We are a seeking a creative, bold, hip, edgy logo -- but it MUST be easily readable and easy-to-remember upon a glance. (This site is now used daily by people across the world, for many of whom English is a second language. Subtle, hard-to-read designs will not be used).
Thus the logo must contain the name BookmarkCentral.com -- and be easily readable on both dark or light backgrounds. (Note the name is BookmarkCentral.com and NOT BookmarksCentral).
We would prefer a square design (for easier and larger placements for varying uses), but are open to other shaped treatments.
Attached is a concept for a prior name that had been considered, but ONLY illustrates the clarity required reading the URL name: BookmarkCentral.com.
Good luck -- and many thanks.
(Again, view http://www.oneroofbookmarks.com for current site -- but re-launch with new name -- and perhaps your logo design -- coming shortly.)
