spidieman got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Help Query Bucket with a new logo
Check out spidieman's Logo design contest…
Query Bucket is an open source tool for storing database queries in a central place (aka - the Bucket) so they can be used by a wider group of people that don't necessarily have database tools installed on their machine. It's a web-based tool and by storing the queries in 1 place it means they can be shared by wider team and private stores of useful queries are avoided.
Logo types to explore
My initial idea was something like a bucket (pail) with a question mark on it to signify a query. Other options could be magnifying glass as this is also synomimous with queries/searches. My other idea was to have the bucket with the query statements (words and phrases from SQL (a database query language)) flowing into the bucket. The logo doesn't necessarily have to have any text with it - the QUERY and BUCKET together makes it pretty obvious what it is - and the name query bucket will appear elsewhere on the site.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo design starts at €269.
