"Your personal shopper for cars" ****CONTEST REOPENED: PLEASE SEE UPDATED COMMENTS AT BOTTOM OF PAGE****
The things that matter most to our customers (we did a poll): Trust, relationship, choice
We offer a "personal shopping" service for cars. We find new and used vehicles for people and for businesses and it is our aim to save our clients time, worry and money. We are an independent supplier and not tied to any one car manufacturer or finance company. As such we are able to trade freely between manufacturers and finance houses constructing the most attractive deal for the customer. We will first listen our clients requirements, then we ‘go to work for you’ to source your vehicle and finance package. This could be either a new or used car from a Ford to a Ferrari; whatever best fits our clients' requirements. Over half of our clients are still renewing their vehicles with us after a decade. It is our aim to treat our customers as we would hope to be treated ourselves, and over time to build trust and a long term relationship.
Here's a few pointers:
You'll save time - Let us deal with the motor trade on your behalf, because your time is better spent elsewhere. Tell us about the type of car (or van) you require, or the specific model (make, model, colour, options etc) and we’ll search the country to find the vehicle that best suits your requirements.
You'll receive guidance - Perhaps you're uncertain about exactly what vehicle you need. Perhaps you are uncertain about vehicle finance and would appreciate some unbiased advice. We'll take the time to listen to you, and source a vehicle, with a finance package if required, suited to your needs.
You'll have wider choice of new vehicles - Traditional car dealers are limited by their franchise. For example, a Mercedes dealer might understand your requirements and do their best to find a car in their range that suits you. However, it is unlikely that they will be able to offer you a BMW or Audi, even if these vehicles are much better suited to your needs. At Good Carma, we have relationships with ALL of the major manufacturers, so we can offer unbiased advice and make sure that your next car really ticks all the boxes.
You'll have a wider choice of used vehicles - Buying a used car usually involves compromise. Even in a best-case scenario, a used car dealership can only offer you a car from their forecourt stock, which is unlikely to be exactly want you want. Salespeople may even resort to shoehorning you into what they need to sell that month rather than what you want to buy
You'll have a wider choice of funding options - We have access to a panel of the country's top funders and can offer a wide range of funding options for all customers.

Thank you all for taking the time to create and submit your entries. I think in the end, and due to in part to my brief and feedback responses, things went a bit too far down the "picture of a car" route.

Seeing these submissions made me very aware of the fact that this is NOT what I want. If you do a Google Images search for "car sales logo", you will see an awful lot of logos featuring a picture of a car. I want to stand out, not blend in.

In trying to come up with a symbol which represented ideas of karma, relationship, reciprocation and something that lasts, I have settled on the infinity sign - a figure 8 turned on its side. I'll stick with this unless you can persuade me otherwise.
Furthermore,I also would like to see the text in a Helevtica font (which I know gets hate from designers, but so many established brands use the font, and I see it as a shortcut to brand credibilty).

I've posted up a few of my own ideas, and I particularly like the infinity logo replacing the two "o"s in the word "Good".

I feel my logo is 90% complete, but I’d be interested in any
variations, and I’d love some input on COLOUR.
I’ve been advised that a single colour is best for a logo, and also that that I should highlight
the word “car” within the word “carma” just to ephasise that CARS are my business.
I hope you'll have a go at helping me out, and I look forward to seeing your submissions....
