GetMyBack
I am Rob Bazinet and I run a small software company, Still River Software in Woodstock, CT.
My goal is to create web applications which solve various problems faced by internet users, business people or Mom and Dad, on a regular basis. My philosophy is similar to that of 37Signals.com (great model of course), create simple software that solves problems of the user in a simple way.
I like a warm feeling to my software, cozy and homey, if that makes sense. I don't like flash, I do like creative and unique designs though but nothing that screams out "I need attention".
I write software like this because there is a need for very targeted solutions. There is not a need for the next version of Microsoft Word.
The target audience is anyone who uses cloud-based services. This could be you at home wanting to backup your Twitter account or it could be you in your office wanting to backup your Salesforce.com data.
So, I need a logo for my new web application named GetMyBack. It is a service to backup social/cloud applications to Amazon S3. The web site is not publicly viewable yet but if you visit Backupify.com you can better understand what the service is like. I consider Backupify the only competitor we have right now.
I want a design that would pleasing to our users who could be either home users or business users, so the logo can't be super flashy.
Designers, think out-of-the box and don't use the current little temporary logo as a base for a new logo, something new.
Attached is a screenshot of the current site design, which will likely change later but if I can get a logo that works with this color scheme then it should work for a redesign later.
Please forward additional questions to me.
