Midcareer professionals who are “between dreams” – they have outgrown one work/life fit but don’t know what they really want next. They do know they want a career & life that is more meaningful and passionate. Yet they’re not sure what they are passionate about anymore.
Our market is college educated, from 35-55 years old. 60%+ are women. While most are not overtly spiritual - they value personal growth and many are actively exploring their spirituality.
We are looking for a logo for our new website and blog – My Brilliant Next.
My Brilliant Next is the title for a blog that will be central to our start. It will also be the domain name for our website.
A metaphor that will be central to the company’s identity is “New Fire.” New Fire relates to a tradition in several cultures (including Native American) of lighting a new fire at the pause between the end of one cycle and beginning of another. It represents renewal - the rediscovery of purpose.
Our working tagline is: “Re-discovering Purpose & Passion – for a Work and Life you Love.
An idea that I’ve sketched as a promising direction to work in is attached. We are very open to seeing approaches completely different from the sketch. What we do like about the sketched concept is that the graphic conveys “Brilliant” as inner brightness & vitality - “filled with light”.
1. It is critical that the logo has a memorable graphic mark that can be used on its own - separate from the logo type.
2. The typeface should be clear, simple and bold. We imagine the word “Brilliant” as the major type element drawing the eye – probably significantly larger than the other words. Would like to experiment with “NEXT” in all capitals.
3. The graphic and type elements should integrate very well.
Please feel free to experiment with colors!
The files we will require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
(Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo)
