How Helenvictoria started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I manufacture clothing for women over thirty for formal occasions. My target market is women with high disposable income, who enjoy wearing separates. I supply boutiques in affluent areas. I have some eight or so photos that show my style which is simple but unique. My wrap jackets and pants have been a huge success and I haven't started business yet! I want a logo that is simple and versatile that reflects their style. Although my clothing has a classical line, the pieces (garments) themselves are quite modern and they work well together, mixing and matching. It has to look good on a clothing label, without being too much work to manufacture, as well as swing tags, letters and in future handbags etc. I was thinking something with the HV but don't let that sway you if you can think of something more appropriate.
How do you want the layout of your logo to look?
An abstract shape or symbol is used to convey the values of your business.
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Must be earthy tones like - old gold, pewter, sienna, butter, chocolate, burnt orange. imagine winter and autumn and all those cosy colours you want to rug up to, but not hide. When these colours are placed with black they can be quite stunning. I also need a simple black and white version logo that I can use on the embroidered clothing labels.
