LiveSport Images - Athletes captured at the top of their game.
I am a professional photographer who is starting a new subsidiary brand to my current and successful commercial and editorial photography business.
As a photographer who spent a considerable amount of time photographing pro sports for many years I plan to bring the same enthusiasm, experience and professionalism to the prep sports sidelines photographing athletes at their peak performance.
I will be marketing my brand to mostly affluent professionals whose teenage children participate in club, high school and potentially college athletics. At the same time I will also be marketing my brand to style and appearance conscious young men and women who are very discerning when it comes to what's "cool" and what isn't.
The athletes and the parents that will makeup the core target of my branding are those from two groups. One being those that know that their abilities and prowess stand above the rest and want a way to display that. The second is the group of athletes whose athletic careers will likely end after their prep sports days are finished and want to memorialize that.
These athletes are smart, confident, secure, trendy and passionate. They wear the most fashionable brands and drive vehicles that their peers admire; they are the best on their teams and the popular students on their campuses.
I want a logo that is sophisticated and sleek yet still powerful. I want it to be able to catch the eye of a discerning parent or coach while also appealing to a status conscious teenage athlete.
It is important that my brand, and the logo that represent it, present an air of confidence, sophistication, power and high value.
I do want:
*A Clean aesthetic
*A logo that is easily read at large and more importantly small sizes.
*The logo to be sport neutral
**I'd also like to see some type of graphic incorporated alongside the words LiveSport Images, that's to say, that the words don't necessarily have to be the central focus of the design.
I don’t want:
*Stars or camera brackets.
*Silhouettes of athletes or their equipment.
*A logo that feels gimmicky.
*A logo that uses clip art, stock images, lenses, apertures, or film, etc.
I'd like the color scheme selected from the colors included in the uploaded files unless you've got another color scheme that you feel is really strong.
**Tag Line Info:
While the tag line "Athletes captured at the top of their game." will likely an important part of my marketing, it is not absolutely necessary that it be included in the logo. If it provides for a logo with more impact feel free to forgo it.
Use: This logo will be used on the website, all marketing materials, invoices, proofs, business cards, etc.
***Also please be sure to include a monotone version of your design as well as a version against a darker background as seen in entries #30 and #42 that would help me out in the selection process tremendously.
Very excited to see what you come up with and will be offering feedback as soon as the ideas start flowing in!
