fortcollinsgavin got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Gavin for PSD

Gavin for PSD
This is a political campaign for local School Board. It is a non-partisan election. My campaign slogan is "Let's Build a Stronger Community!" but that does not need to be part of the logo. I would like to be able to change "Gavin for PSD" with "Students for Gavin" or "Teachers for Gavin" etc. My full name is Gavin Kaszynski, but the last name isn't very catchy, if you will, so I would like to emphasize the first name. The logo does not need to be flashy or sexy, just a plain vanilla political campaign but with "Gavin" and "PSD" popping. The colors should be politically neutral (minimize/eliminate reds and blues), so greens and oranges are safe. The target audience is primarily Teachers who tend to be female. Our community (Fort Collins, Colorado) is very active and into outdoor activity.
Other color requirements
Green, Orange, Gray
