The logo should as best as possible indicate the core values of my company: quality, functionality and performance. I need a logo that communicates reliability while still being interesting enough to catch the eye and stay in the memory. In conveying this image of reliability, quality and performance I don't want to end up with a cold, sterile image either. For clarification, when I refer to performance I mean systems that respond with lightning quick processing compared to the industry standards. I would be interested in any ideas that can convey this level of speed while still conveying quality and reliability.
Please be mindful of the senior level staff that will be looking at this logo at our clients and ensure that it gives the impression of a mature, professional organisation.
I have a clear idea of the image I would like to convey but I am open to suggestions in terms of how that is achieved.
This logo is to be used on business cards, headed paper and on the company website so it should be suitable for all of those mediums.
Please maintain the capitalisation of the company name "Perf-Util".
Please do not use captions.
ADDITION BASED ON MULTIPLE REJECTED DESIGNS: PLEASE PUT SOME EFFORT INTO THE DESIGN OF THE TEXT. I WILL ELIMINATE ANY DESIGNS USING TEXT THAT WAS SIMPLY TYPED IN A STANDARD FONT. PLEASE DO NOT USE LIGHTING EFFECTS TO COMPENSATE FOR DESIGN OF THE TEXT.
I am particularly impressed by entries that aren't simply using Verdana or Arial (or some similarly non-descript font) text with an image (unless one of those fonts has been clearly selected because it works well with the image).
In terms of colour scheme I would prefer to see strong, bold colours, but not too bright to help maintain the image of reliability. Some use of brighter colours MAY be appropriate but please stick to relatively dark blues, reds, greens, greys and black/white for the most part. I'm not a fan of orange.
I would like to see something in the logo that clearly intimates performance, speed or movement as this is key to the company's mission.
Please present logos on a plain white background so I can see how it would adapt to print.
