DuraChic is a very strong and long-lasting product with durability, capable of withstanding even commercial wear and tear. DuraChic is new product recently introduced into the North American market.
To our client, DuraChic represents a very strong and long-lasting flooring laminate, which is inexpensive, yet has the appearance of expensive flooring.

The owners of DuraChic envision a logo that is a combination of the brand name “DuraChic” and an icon.
Since durability is a key component of the product, the client sees the imagery of the icon communicating toughness with a “Tough”, "Extreme Durability" or “Built To Last” idea. The icon also needs to convey that the product appearance is also elegant. This product is incredibly durable, but has the appearance of a high-end laminate.
Please explore both positive and negative space. Color choices may be strong or muted or even rely on some combination of color and texture.
We would like to explore multiple aspect ratios from roughly 2:1 (two widths to one height) to a 1:1 (one width to one height).
At the end of the contest, we will require the winner to provide the following files in the handover phase:
1. unlocked vector file
2. unlocked .eps file
3. unlocked .ai file
4. large .jpeg file
5. Font names and file location(s)
6. Jpeg Color palette showing all colors used in the logo and their corresponding PMS, CMYK, RGB and HEX #’s.
7. We will check the colors and layers of all of the handover files to ensure that they match the winning design. Please be prepared to handover matching files.
