First class designer and he won the logo contest fair and square.
Although, the following is not a criticism of the designer, he's a good guy.
But, when you select your winner, 99D asks you if you want the winning designer to go ahead and design a brand guide, business cards and a Facebook cover. My recommendation is, use that money to put that task into another contest. 99D is a fantastic place for getting a design job done with lots of brains independently working on the same task. But when I commissioned the additional task to the winning designer, the experience was very poor in comparison. Language barriers, time differences and only one brain on the job is a far cry from up to 100 designers in time zones all around the world.
The designer was graceful and kind enough to agree to cancel the additional tasks as we seemed to be getting nowhere. He's a good, honest guy it seems and a talented designer.
How hsanchez7 started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Cloud Computing and Outsourced IT for customers between 20 and 200 employees. We are a little higher end than our competitors but our customers say we are worth it.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
Most of our competitors have some orange and a few of them are actually blue and orange. I thought this would be a good color combination because it uses both of our original colors but maybe we need to go a different direction. Alternatively, potentially use orange and a medium/dark gray instead of blue.

Color scheme is good and font is clean.
Square orientation is similar to current CIO Solutions logo, but this would be usable in a horizontal orientation as well since the name and image are separate.
Would like some blue in addition to the orange to incorporate some of the colors from both companies logos.
Good example of being able to use the logo in vertical and horizontal orientations.
CIO Solutions is acquiring another company and we want to preserve the CIO Solutions logo as much as possible and try to integrate portions of the TekTegrity logo. If it is possible to have an icon as part of the design so that it can be used separately from the whole logo, like in the TekTegrity example with the atom. A logo that is able to be used in both horizontal and vertical orientations will be ideal.
