Right now, in order to sell their designs, needlepoint artists have to go through the TNNA (National Needlearts Association) to go to these expensive conventions held nationally only 3x a year. These shows are really pricey for us, especially in this economy.
We are building a website for artists to show off their designs WITHOUT having to buy expensive flights, book expensive hotel rooms, etc. to show the stores our newest designs in order to get MORE sales & reach MORE shops without the usual bureaucratic stuff.
We want to create a place that will allow established artists to show off their new designs on a regular basis without having to pay thousands of dollars for the chance to reach stores. Also, NEW artists can have a great way to become more "known" as shops can see their designs online & buy from them!
We need a logo that will appeal to artists who will want to display their new designs & shops who will want to buy here. We're going to be online tradeshow, a Destination for artists and shops to interact together.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We want to appeal to the artists to give them a clean, crisp professional website look to show off their new designs. Many needlepoint websites are stuck in the early 90's; we want a modern, clean look that will encompass traditional artists like Elizabeth Bradley (http://www.ElizabethBradley.com) along with fresh artists like Kelly Clark Needlepoint (http://www.KellyClarkNeedlepoint.com).
Needlepoint stores will have to want to shop here, too, and many needlepoint shop owners have a lot of disposable income, so we need to appeal to a higher-end market here.
We're pretty open, but I'd like to have the design in a .psd, and ,jpg on a transparent background & at least 800 pixels on the largest end (always easier to make smaller than enlarge!)
Also, our current website has a blue theme, so we'll need the logo in either White or Black or even a combination with blue elements is fine; it just has to stand up from the page.
Maybe the use of a map or spyglass or something to emphasize the "Destination" part of the logo would be helpful!
