A young, smaller (7 acre) market garden farm, utilizing the latest technology and techniques to produce high quality fruits, vegetables and mushrooms for local markets and roadside stand sales. All growing is done in raised bed gardens on a square foot pattern in order to maximize product output and growing efficiency. All growing is done naturally without any pesticides or additives. A state of the art solar irrigation system ensures adequate growth everyday. Philosophy behind the farm is one that endorses no environmental impact (unless it's a positive one), while pairing selective cutting edge technology and the age old art of sustainable fruit and vegetable production, to illustrate how the highest quality of food can be grown anywhere and under any conditions with some ingenuity, hard work and a strong moral fabric.

The slogan of the farm is "Innovation & Cultivation" but we don't necessarily want that included in the logo design. Bell's Edge originates from the farm's bordering on a river on one side, and a creek, Bell's Creek, which borders the back and meets the river. We are also situated right next to a bridge which may be interesting to use as part of a design. Pictures are attached. As stated above, since our soil does not allow for proper growing, we must grow efficiently in raised bed gardens. These are roughly 60' x 5' and pictures of those are attached as well. This aspect may or may not be interesting to include in design considerations. Right now the number of raised growing beds is 7, but that number will be tripling over the next year and the front field will be full of them. Although the name is indicative of it, we don't want any logo designs that incorporate a bell, unless it's done in a very creative and exciting way. We also don't want any overly traditional symbols of corn, large fields or traditional farm buildings and barns. Our farm is new and innovative, and we ourselves, are young farmers, in our 20's and 30's, who are transitioning to a self-sufficient and self-sustainable lifestyle and the logo design should reflect that. We don't have livestock of any sorts, and only produce and sell (and consume) vegetables, fruits, and shiitake mushrooms. We've also attached an article that was written about our endeavour in October which will give more insight into our happenings without having to detail it all here. Please don't hesitate to ask us any questions to clarify anything about our operation.
