I am a voice artist, focusing on long form narration, audiobooks and animation. This is a highly competitive, creative field. I have a design worked out but couldn't draw my way out of a wet paper bag so I need help from talented individuals like you! Words that describe my personality are: outgoing, friendly, silly, creative, quirky, driven, bright, funny, flirtatious, sexy, warm, compassionate, empathetic, confident. Words that describe my voice quality are: sultry, husky, authoritative, warm, conversational, dramatic, compassionate, friendly, animated, sincere.
Audiobook publishers, corporate audio/video departments, audio and video production companies, animation companies. These people are being marketed to constantly and so my design should be something that really stands out in their minds and is easy to remember, like the apple used by Mac.
I'll upload my really bad, hand drawn picture for you as well as giving you this narrative. My company is called "The Dawn of Voice" - my name is Dawn and I'm a voice artist (speech) so that makes sense! My logo will be a book lying open. In the spine, sits a rising sun. This sun could be the top half of one of those old style microphones, maybe with my name in the place where the lettering used to go, if that looks decent. See grahic. Rays come out from the sun in a semi-circle. Connecting the rays in a rainbow like manner are sound waves that run in a semi-circle from one side of the book to the other. The "rainbow" that they create should be colored in reds, purples, yellows and oranges to look like a sunrise. So, we have the sunrise tying into my name (Dawn) and the book representing the work I do. In a semi-circle following the arc of the rainbow and sitting above it is the company name "The Dawn of Voice". Below the book, the cover of which forms the line of the horizon, will be my catch phrase. Something like "Your Story Unfolds" or "Unfolding Your Story". Not firm on what exactly the catch phrase will be but work with that or give me something better if it comes to mind. (I think I like the first one more maybe?). Still working on that part but hopefully you can work with this and then we can firm that up when we finalize the design.
