IdTaken.com
My name is Chad. I am currently working on building an informational website/blog that covers the topic of identity theft. The web address is IdTaken.com. Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in America. My mom's identity was stolen two years ago and she is still dealing with it, this is what gave me the idea of starting the site/blog. The goal is to keep readers informed and educated on prevention, detection, and what to do if it happens to them.
I want the tone of the site to be a positive, proactive, informational site with lots of informative resources and simple steps people can take to avoid it.
Our target audience is large since identity theft can affect almost anyone. I will possibly be using this logo for a social networking campaign as well (facebook, twitter). We could attract visitors from a wide range of ages.
I'm not set on any particular color scheme. If you go to http://www.idtaken.com you will see a couple of colors in the navigation menu. I like these colors, but I'm open to other ideas as well. I have a possible tagline "Your Identity Theft Protection Information Center" I'm definitely set on having a tagline to help define the site as a identity theft informational site. If you think of any cool taglines that help describe that the site is an identity theft informational site I would like to see them. I'm not sure if the tagline needs to be included in the logo or just added to the website separately? Again, I'm open to your suggestions and creativity! I have uploaded my old logo that I made- you will see red in this logo, I have decided against red for the new project. I'm looking for a simplistic, unique, creative design! Try to avoid anything childlike, cheap, or too fancy. Please contact me with any questions.
Thanks,
Chad
