Four Block
We are creating a professional networking website that will provide returning veterans with career training, networking, and employment opportunities. We are currently proving our model in NYC and now want to take it online! A short article about our company is below:
Our target audience is returning veterans. This demographic is typically male between 22 and 30 years old. Most of these veterans joined the military directly out of high school.
We also need to appeal to corporations and universities. These entities will be paying for access to our veteran talent pool and advertising on our website as well.
I understand this is an extremely broad audience. We need to balance the contemporary and edgy logo that the veterans will like with the professional and conservative logo that corporations and universities would want to associate themselves with.
Please see the attached "Four Block 99 Designs" power point deck for the meaning of "Four Block" and examples of logos that we do and do not like.
We are looking for a logo that is NOT overwhelmingly military. We want our brand to represent where veterans want to go, not where they already have been.
We want something that communicates a "humble power." Not "in your face" but communicates a subtle strength, is contemporary, professional, and simple with a small flavor of patriotism or military.
Please stay away from logos with military medals, ribbons, or a lot of camouflage colors/designs. Other than that, feel free to experiment with colors and designs.
Do not use the number "4" in the logo but rather please use "Four."
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo as well.
Thank you for you interest in this project and we very much look forward to seeing your work!
