Rutabaga got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a vintage, otherworldly logo for Midsummer Night lavender.
Check out Rutabaga's Logo design contest…
Midsummer Night makes lavender products deeply steeped in the history of this magical and relaxing herb. Many people like the scent but can't find a wide variety of soaps to choose from using that scent. We make soap in different formulas, lotions, lip balms, and more - all with lavender. This is for lavender lovers and those who love the Renaissance period of Shakespeare, when lavender was a very popular scent. Enchantment, playfulness, and humor.
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Let designers make suggestions: Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty. Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their logo design.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Rutabaga collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Wow! Veasna thoughtfully absorbed the brief and my crude sketches and made it all into something very beautiful that is true to the spirit of my company. I feel very lucky! Great communication, awesome design, patient with my needs. I will definitely be working with this designer again. Highly recommended.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
