We are a software development and technical consulting company that helps other high-tech clients realize their web, mobile app, and game aspirations. We also plan on publishing some of our own smartphone and tablet apps (mostly games and utilities).
Logo types to explore
I'm pretty open on the color scheme, but have listed some colors I like. The logo will be mostly used on white or maybe very light gray backgrounds. I'd like to have at least a small bit of red (Ruby red), as a play on the fact that we mostly use the Ruby programming language, but that isn't absolutely critical if it doesn't work aesthetically. I'm looking for something relatively simple, fun, and suggestive of old school robots (see uploaded image file for examples) blended with modern/mobile tech (hence Mobirobo, our name). I don't want photo-realistic or complex line art. Of the logos I uploaded, the ones I like the most include: The "brandname" one where the robot forms the letter R is fun. The "robot shop" one with the robot kind of punched out of the card demonstrates a "old time" type robot. The "Giant Robot" one is playful, where the fact it is a cafe is mixed with the fact that the robot is composed of a coffee cup. The number of colors used there is also ok. The simplicity of the "redbot" one is in the ballpark. It is important that the robot itself isn't "scary" or "threatening". If it comes across as "smart" that is good.
