ProdigyOne Solutions got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create the next logo for AccidentalScholar

AccidentalScholar is a trademark for a line of applications produced by my LLC, ProdigyOne Solutions. The apps are designed for mobile devices and are intended to provide educational content in a visually compelling and interesting way. Lots of multimedia content. Our target audience is 7-15 years old, though adult testing has shown that they really can be interesting for users of all ages. Each app is focused on a particular subject area. Subjects can be anything - from dinosaurs to world war II to the mars lander. Our goal is to pick subjects, and make learning engaging and fun through high production quality.
Logo types to explore
This line of apps is designed for Windows 8 and the logo will be used on the LiveTile for the applications (see: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/lib…65403.aspx for more info). Also, the logo will be used on application splash screens and overlaying images used in the online app store -like in the upper right or lower rght (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh694057.aspx ). As an FYI - ProdigyOne Solutions does not have a corporate logo yet - I'll be running a separate logo contest for that, although if I like your work I may just ask the winner to do that one too.
