I'm a one-woman shop. I'd like a logo that has personality. But I
don't want a girl genie! I don't want people to be disappointed when a
middle-aged woman shows up ;) if there is a figure make it gender
In my sketch, I tried to make the G in WebGenii reference a lamp. The
W should be characterized too - so I can use WB as shorthand version
of company name.
My business is driven by my customers interests, so one person wants
Excel spreadsheets and the next iPhone help. So I don't want anything
tied to a particular technology or hardware. (Cause next year it could
be Google docs and Social Media).
However - generic technology references are fine, in fact useful.
I do like the lamp, lots of positive associations with lamps for my
tech-phobic customers. But a lamp isn't mandatory - I just thought the
shape would work well with the letter G.
Values; friendly, reliable, competent, non-threatening, easy to work
with, good listener.
In the sample logos, the retweet & squeeze logos are appealing
because of the way the company name is the logo. The other examples
appeal because of the descriptive nature of the image.
