Create a new logo for a cattle technology company
Check out terrellm's Logo design contest…
We sell cattle management software to farmers and ranchers, whose average age is 58 years old. Our customers, male and female, are located all over the world. Our customers raise beef cattle, so no horns or spots on the cattle.
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Yellows: Energy, intellect, fun and youth. Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty. Greens: Growth, harmony and success.
- Needs to have some abstract elements that gives it an advancing, technology, modern feel, but still recognizable as cattle related - The icon needs to be able to be identifiable so that it can stand alone and not have to have "CattleMax" included to communicate the company - must translate well to marketing materials like caps, shirts, bags, etc. plus on a website/banner ad. - Backcountry and Pilgrim's are examples of this concept we're trying to develop - Logo colors need to communicate nature, down-to-earth, growth - cattle producers are working with animals and the land - No black-and-white spotted cows (those are dairy cattle) - No horns (most cattle raised by our customers do not have horns). Attached is an image of the type of cattle our customers raise. The logo doesn't have to be super realistic as it would look clip-arty but this at least gives you an idea. - The cow needs to be a warm brown color - one color, no spots - so that the viewer doesn't think it's a specific breed of cow - For the product name CattleMax, the C and the M should standout. No all lower case letters. Can consider all caps, but the C and M should stand out - Again, the key is to balance some abstract element to communicate a modern, technology feel with the down to earth feel that cattle producers identify with

If you are looking for a logo designer who can take a tricky concept and help you work through it, Mitch is 100% your guy. I asked him to design a logo that represents a "Middle Child" and he nailed it. With such a tricky concept, I was having trouble putting exactly into words what I wanted but he gave me his unfiltered thoughts on how he interpreted what a "middle child" meant and after that it was just a matter of refining the design. An absolute pleasure to work with, Mitch knocked this project out of the park. Cannot think of a better designer to work with, especially if you need a bit of guidance!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
