patwardle got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a logo for an Apple/Mac security company
Check out patwardle's Logo design contest…
Objective-See is my personal LLC/computer security company that will provide free security tools for OS X (Apple/Mac). The name is both a play on the name of Apple's programming language (Objective-C) and the concept that the security tools provide the users the ability to 'see' what is going on, on their computer (e.g. what programs are installed, if there is any malware on the computer etc).
Logo types to explore
I'm pretty sure I want to incorporate an apple in the logo (since the security tools are exclusively for Apple/Mac's). I've seen some cool looking apple logos such as: http://static.topnettools.com/CALDE0111.jpg, https://s3.amazonaws.com/files.creativemarket.com/images/screenshots/products/8/89/89731/1-f.jpg?1398663181, or https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/13/1d/19/131d19b4829d96feed05fc33d88f10d5.jpg -obviously it can't be too similar to Apple's famous logo :) Other pillars of the company that might make sense to incorporate into the logo include: 1) 'seeing' (besides being in the name of the company) the software tools the company will provide aim to allow the users to see what's going on on the mac/what software has been installed/if they are infected with malware etc. 2) knowledge (similar to #1) 3) protection - several of the tools aim to protect users from OS X malware/viruses, etc. All the tools relate to Mac security. I like simple modern logos (as opposed to more 'realistic' ones). Also I like color - preferable green. Also ideally looking for a 'flat' logo (non-3d/no drop shadow etc)
