Who are you known as?
The Lotus and The Unicorn
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The Lotus and The Unicorn is a company which designs and produces handmade and custom high end jewelry using gemstones. The name was picked based on the poem the owl and the pussycat as I have always loved the whimsical nature of the poem. The element of the lotus flower was picked as the lotus flower is a symbol of new beginnings/resurrection and purity, it rises from the murky water remaining unsoiled and pure (a symbolism for rising above adversity through awakening of your spirituality and a celebration of your inner strength remaining pure throughout the process). The symbol of the unicorn was picked as it is a magical and whimsical animal who symbolizes being open to infinite possibilities, the clever pursuit of dreams, and the wisdom to manifest those dreams. The company's designs will focus on elements of spirituality such as buddha, ganehsa, evil eyes, hamsas, etc, as well as some natural elements such as animals, feathers, and leaves. All gemstones used will be those which have healing properties and which help to balance the chakras. The target audience is primarily women, especially those who enjoy a spiritual lifestyle (enjoy yoga, meditation, are in tune with their chakras and inner self). The jewelry is handmade and custom options will be available. The jewelry, while spiritual, is luxurious and sells at a higher price point. The jewelry design and finished product is elegant, sophisticated, and whimsical. I would like for the logo to include an image which encompasses these characteristics. I selected the light neutrals as one of my palates (which in my mind includes gold and silver) in addition to pinks and purples. I am not opposed to some metallics as well as some ombre color designs. I do not want any symbols or designs that are like children's cartoons. The logo design will be used for business cards, websites, etc as well as I would like to have a symbol which can be engraved onto a small metal tag that can be attached to the jewelry. I would like the logo to contain images of a unicorn and lotus that can be entwined together - the lotus petals should be open in the design. Thank you in advance, I look forward to seeing your designs and artistry :)
