AppSocial creates mobile and web tools and services that bring people together. We are a young, funky, upbeat, friendly brand. Our services reach people on big screens and small screens and we are a progressive company which makes innovative use of technology.
Gender balance: 50/50
Age range: 20-34
Audience: Global, very tech-savvy users.
Our users are members of Facebook, possibly Twitter or Bebo, and other social networking and dating web sites like Match.com and Lavalife.com. They probably use iPhones or RIM Blackberries. Our identity must stand beside those global brands as a peer.
Our final logo must be delivered in vector format. Colours must be strong, but not too conservative. Our logo should be comprised of two parts:
1) A squared aspect-ratio graphic logo (shape can be anything you like) which will be positioned immediately to the left of the textual component of the logo, but which can instantly identify our company on its own.
2) The textual component of the logo, which should be complementary to the graphic logo, probably in lowercase, and probably in non-serif font. We are, however open to ideas which challenge the latter two rules. The use of two colours should separate the two words "app" and "social" otherwise there should be no space between them or change in case.
Since people are the focus of our company, some ideas which could inform good design for the graphic logo are abstract representations of one or more people, or relationships between people. Again, though, we are open to creative approaches here.
