Overview

Wheatstone Partners is a new firm that is about to be launched. Its core business is to provide independent and impartial advice to medium sized businesses in the areas of:
• Mergers, acquisitions and divestments
• Strategy development and execution
• Financing
• Board and executive advisory
• Stakeholder and Issues Management
The firm is named after Charles Wheatstone, the scientist, who designed and developed a multitude of useful inventions instrumental in the development of technology used today (including precision measuring devices, optical instruments etc). Like Charles Wheatstone, we believe that Wheatstone Partners will provide innovative, measured, precise, informed and practical (down-to-earth) services and solutions to our clients.

Currently, our image would be that we:
- Are reputable and credible
- Are dynamic and flexible
- Have broad experience and extensive networks
- Have no formal market presence / profile as the new business

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach

We will be seeking to appeal to and be engaged by executives in medium sized public and private organizations across a broad range of industries. As a general rule these executives will be:
• Over the age of 35
• With graduate (or higher) education
• Reasonably high income
• Predominantly male
The organizations themselves will have a market capitalization or enterprise value in the order of US$10-500m.

Requirements

The logo will be used in three contexts:
1 Print Media and marketing material (business cards, letterhead, envelopes, stationary, brochures, etc)
2 Electronic media such as website, email, documents and presentations
3 Potentially posters, banners and merchandise

The logo should be designed in two versions:
• Black & white (screened black may be used)
• Multi-color version for Web use

Specific requirements of the logo:
• Logo colours recommended are also identified by appropriate pms or colour chart coding eg pantone
• Logo to be presented by itself and then presented with the words Wheatstone Partners
• Post completion – logo files provided in high and low resolution
• Matching / stylized font for Wheatstone Partners words identified and provided

The logo should avoid:
• Too many colours
• Colours that don’t transfer well to black & white and/or printing
• Being too elaborate or “Fussiness”
• Wheat-related images or related interpretations – agriculture is not a target market

We also require the opportunity to request minor adjustments to the winning artwork if required.
