gregdurrett got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Clean, sleek academic logo for comp sci research lab @ UT Austin
Check out gregdurrett's Logo design contest…
I am a computer science professor at UT Austin researching natural language processing (NLP). I'm looking for a logo for my research group, the TAUR Lab: Text Analysis, Understanding, and Reasoning. This is an academic research group, so this logo will primarily appear on our website, posters, talks, and any merchandise. Target audience is other primarily other computer science/NLP researchers. My academic website here: http://www.cs.utexas.edu/~gdurrett/
Other color requirements
Burnt orange: RGB 191, 87, 0 (strongly preferred)
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their logo design.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
gregdurrett collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
