Australian Ties
We are a young business that designs, manufactures and delivers men's neckties and cufflinks for companies, sporting teams and large institutions.
Eg You are a bank and need a new tie for your bank tellers . We design that tie for you.
We have another arm of our business that is outgoing, young and a little bit out there with a cool factor BUT we are aiming to differentiate from this for the Australian Ties logo. EG for this logo we do not want to be futuristic or funky, but we would like to appeal to conservative corporate people (and older markets such as golf clubs etc etc)
Having said that we still want the logo to look good!
The name "Australian Ties " has a double meaning of obviously designing and selling neckties but also referring to the fact that everything is designed in Australia. Therefore as far as logos go you could possibly play with Australian graphics such as the country outline, the flag etc.
You could also somehow put the shape of a necktie into the text, HOWEVER this is not advised unless it is original and funky. EG putting a necktie knot to replace an "I" is not cool. Originality is key.
Picture this, you are a 40+ year old Marketing Manager needing some new uniforms for your multinational company. You want to enlist a company to design something for you that will look smart, sharp, not too out there and make you look good. What sort of company would you choose ? that is the type of company logo we want to have...
We're targeting marketing departments, the corporate sector and conservative older people who are wary of not being too outrageous.
We do not want to look 'futuristic' or tacky in such a way that prospective conservative customers will shy away...
Our logo should:
- Look professional, to appeal to large corporations and older conservative types.
- Be Original and not tacky. Eg no boxing kangaroos, koalas etc (the Australian part is not 100% necessarily referred to in logo)
- Incorporate usage of the colour Navy
- We would be using this logo on company documents as well as clothing labels so ideally it would be sized and simple enough for this type of application.
- Have an original font
We are quite open to creativity and suggestions.
