How claimstake started their logo design journey
Durasteel has been established for over 30 years, we manufacture our own Australian made building product, Durasteel Weatherboards, and also undertake the labour side of renovating homes with this product. Durasteel has a very hands on approach with its clients, with no job being too big or too small.
We're committed to providing clients with a strong weather resistant product that will not only increase the value of their property, but make it totally maintenance free for life.
Our flagship product is the Durasteel Weatherboards. An external cladding for homes that give a completely natural weatherboard look without the issues associated with timber or other inferior products.
Our product is an inexpensive permanent solution to endless painting, warping, peeling, cracking, rotting and splitting.
It insulates your home by keeping it warm in winter and cool in summer, and is less costly than continuous painting.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The widespread recognition and acceptance of Durasteel weatherboards around Australia has seen installation of our product on public buildings, architect designed homes, family homes, extensions and
Past clients include, Mum's & Dad's, first home buyers, property investors, architects, local Governments, Property Developers and large multinational companies.
This logo will be the beginning of a complete brand refresh that will filter through to our web presence, stationary and all our marketing in the future.
The future focus will be toward all the above mentioned past clients with new markets being geographical rather than demographical.
Our flagship product needs to drive what the logo is based on (see past logo's attached).
Durasteel is a strong name on its own however it could represent many things and we want our logo to present the image of our main product, the Durasteel Weatherboards, so it is very clear to clients what we do.
In reference to the past logos (attached), these are a bit archaic and out of proportion in some areas although they use imagery of the Weatherboard they do not represent all of the values of the company, the values we want portrayed are: organised, strong, lasting, friendly and moral. The proportions of the type are out of whack and also in parts the weatherboard appears on a lean which we don't like. The use of aspect is quite good, but we are open for creativity here also.
I have also attached an image of an off cut of the Durasteel Weatherboard as a reference along with some recently completed jobs images.
I would like to see the use of purple as that has been with the company since the beginning, however feel free to show me other colour examples as well should you feel something else would work better.
