SeafoodGrabber got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Brand new logo for SeafoodGrabber.com

We are a B2B social networking site for the world-wide seafood industry. Wholesale buyers and suppliers connect, based on the products they buy/sell, to do business together. Pricing and products are displayed allowing buyers (restaurants, supermarkets, et al) to connect and place orders online with sellers (wholesalers, importers, et al).
Logo types to explore
Our target audience are professional buyers and suppliers of wholesale seafood from all corners of the globe. The overall goal of the site is to provide buyers with a platform to receive all of their pricing from their suppliers in one place, so that they can compare and then place an order. 1. Website name: SeafoodGrabber.com (note the capital S & G) 2. Tag line: "Seafood's Social Network" We are not sure whether to include this or not, so feel free to include this on designs that it will work on. We'll then provide feedback to add or delete it from the design. 3. Font: Open to almost anything but it must be easy to read so no calligraphy. Something that has a Web 2.0 feel should be good. 4. Character: We are leaning towards having some type of seafood related character associated with our name. One of the most iconic images that is recognized worldwide is a lobster, but feel free to try out others. 5. Uses: The logo will be used online and on our fax letterhead so when an entry is rated 4, or 5 stars, then please provide a black and white version as well. 6. Colors: Open to all types.
