house-of-dan services
house-of-dan services, LLC, is a startup intended mainly to develop a suite of cool home automation tools. It's a single person shop with no pretensions of grandeur (awesome yes, impressive no). In addition to the core application, house-of-dan services will provide application development services to the SMB sector in the Austin, TX area.
The target audience will be local SMB I/T staff as well as home automation consumers looking for easy to use and slick controller software.
Looking for a modern, clean logo that can be separated from the name if need be. Something abstract and flowing or like a simple icon is fine, it does not need to reflect what the company is about, other than the aforementioned cool-ness and awesome-ness. The logo should be compatible with all the places a logo would be used: web site, business cards, letterhead, custom toilet paper, M&M designs, and reviews of 16th century heraldry. Well, maybe only the first 3.
Please note the capitalization (all lower case). Font should be a standard sans-serif capable of being rendered in a browser without the logo (i.e. plain text styled using CSS).
The color scheme should enable placement on a light (white) backround for future use on a letterhead. I'm partial towards vibrant greens, browns, teal. I do not want any red or any eye-piercing neon blue. :)
A note about the stigma of home automation: Most home automation sites are horrendous (e.g. http://www.X10.com). I want to break this tragic cycle!
Artwork should be delivered in vector format usable by Adobe Photoshop CS3 or Corel Photo Pro X2 with layers intact.
