This is a logo project for a consulting and training company. The logo should appeal to software company executives as reliable, solid, able to handle large projects. At the same time, it must not be stodgy and must appeal to young engineers, as reflecting new tech.
Senex Rex is company that provides consulting services to large enterprises, specifically about how to efficiently manage 70 people to 700 or more people, usually software engineers, but also other creative types, organized into teams of roughly 7 people (or 7 teams of 7 people, or ... 7x7x7, etc.). Seven is an interesting number because it is really the maximum number of entities that can effectively work closely together.
Senex means "old philosopher". Rex means "king". Both in Latin.
We primarily use a technique called "Scrum", which we define as "rhythmic experimentation to improve team production."
Teams operating this way run production experiments in recurring periods of 1 to 4 weeks. They measure the value and amount of creative work produced in each experiment. Then they reflect on how they did the work, and modify the techniques they use for the next experiment.
This is a radically different way of managing people, and implementing it well typically requires consultants, coaches and trainers. We provide consulting, coaching and training services.
Senex Rex seeks to appeal to executives and decision-makers of mid-size (200 employees) to large companies (1000 employees or more).
This company is unique in that its consultants, coaches and trainers have all been vice-presidents and CxOs of mid-size companies, or have been startup CEOs. They are passionate about helping people and companies become more productive.
