Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a small animal veterinary specialty and 24-hour emergency hospital. We started our practice with internal medicine first and then added emergency and surgical departments. Our specialty doctors have received advanced training beyond veterinary school and are board certified in their respective fields. We strive for excellence in all areas of our practice including but not limited to advanced, personalized medical treatment, customer relations, personnel, and a positive, family-oriented work environment achieved through a collaborative team approach.

When we added the emergency service, we had a second logo created to give the service its own identity. However, we now would like to incorporate the name and concept of emergency into our logo. So, we went from being known as "Bluegrass Veterinary Specialists" to "Bluegrass Veterinary Specialists + Animal Emergency". We prefer the look and feel of our original logo, which is BVS, to the emergency logo. We also like the colors, as they are incorporated into the design of our hospital and staff's uniforms. One of our staff members was trying to create some ideas and she created the last image. We did like the superimposed paw print on the red cross indicating that we do emergency for animals and not humans. This is important because we would like to create an exterior sign from the chosen design.
