jrmacleod got their new logo & brand guide by running a design contest:
Logo design and brand guide for business with warm, happy, aspirational brand
Check out jrmacleod's Logo & brand guide contest…
This is a new organization and we will be an affiliate marketer of a variety of products and services. We have not identified the specific products, services, or target markets yet (sorry :))! So we chose a brand name and domain (julyfriday.com) that would be generic enough to be used to potentially market products for a variety of industries such as: fiancial, fitness, health&wellness, beauty, relationships, technology, business management, entrepreneurship, travel, automobiles, etc. The idea behind the domain name (julyfriday.com) and the brand (July Friday or JulyFriday or JulyFriday.com ... waiting to see logos to decide on which is the best), is for the domain and brand to evoke emotions and thoughts of happiness, and be aspirational. Why? Because July is a month I love (it's the summer where I live with nice warm weather), and because Friday is a day I love (it's the end of the work week and beginning of the weekend). Part of the idea behind the brand/domain name "July Friday" is getting people to think about their "Fridays in July". This for many people should make them think of positive things, times they enjoy. For each person it will be different but should generally be positive thoughts. Don't have a slogan decided yet but an idea to start brainstorming here could be something like "Give yourself more July Fridays" or "Make your every day a Friday in July" or "Who wouldn't like more July Fridays?" If it is a business or entrepreneurial course, then taking the course could lead to the result of giving the customer more financial freedom so they'd have more freedom to have more days like a Friday in July. If the product is a weight loss or fitness or health product, the concept could be ... imagine how much more you could enjoy your Fridays in July after having success with this product. In summary a brand / logo / colors to make a person think happy, positive, fun thoughts and memories with the idea being our products can help people achieve more of the "good July Fridays life". Hope this helps!!
While the industry I chose is "Internet" this is not an ISP or technology type company. We are a marketing company that will sell other people's product and services from a variety of industries. We don't want a "high tech Internet" type look... please see the detailed description above. Regarding fonts: I use a website builder tool that gives me access to many (but not all) of the Google Fonts. As you're considering a font to use for the logo design and brand guide, feel free to message me asking if I have access to that specific font in my website builder. Thanks!
