I loved Binatang's design. It stands on its own, at the same time he incorporated elements from the book in a nice, understated way. Great to work with!
Once again I am delighted with the design work provided by Joko. The children's chapter book cover design is absolutely 'spot-on' with the brief. Joko's efficiency in making changes and even suggesting ideas himself, was key to meeting my deadline.
The designer understand very well what I wanted and was very fast in making changes during the whole process.

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The target audience is people in the restaurant industry. These are people that either want to open a new restaurant in the next few months or in the next year, or they already own a restaurant and want to increase sales and deliver better service. It's for my upcoming book titles: Restaurant Marketing: The Secret is in the Sauce®
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
For this contest, I am looking for 4 illustrations that will represent some of the chapters of my book. There will be 30 illustrations total, and I'd like to work with the winning designer of this contest in a 1-to-1 project to get the remaining 26 created.
These illustrations can be simple and don't have to be extra unique or detailed, but I am going for whatever looks sharp, and whatever can help my book stand out and look professional. They should be black and white.
I am self-publishing but I want my book to be able to compete with the best of what's out there.
Please make 4 illustrations based on the sample chapters below. I will choose the winner based on what I determine to be the look I am going for in the book. The images will later be transferred into my book and will be featured at the start of each chapter.
1) The Story of Zankou (storybook elements)
2) Hollywood in 1984 (how we opened our first store)
3) The Yin and Yang of Yelp (this chapter discusses all things Yelp)
4) the 12 Styles of Leadership (this described different leadership styles within the restaurant business.
I am also including what might be the photo that will go on my book cover.
