DotNetFabrik got their new icon or button by running a design contest:
New Icons (for buttons) in online Document-Approval-Platform
Check out DotNetFabrik's Icon or button contest…
We need new, flat icons for buttons inside our Document-Approval-Application "FLOWWER" (SaaS). The software is mainly used by business-people with low to medium affinity to technical-stuff.
What's your vision?
It is a business-application, so the icons should be lean and clear. We need new, flat icons for the following action-buttons (see also the screenshot in (2020-06-09_091405.png) Please do not repeat a piece of paper in every icon - it's all about documents in the application, so the user should be aware of that. We'd rather like symbols that are easy to recognize and remember. * "Dashboard" (overview for the current user) * "Upload" (transfer documents to the platform) * "Unassigned documents" (list of documents that need to be assigned to a approval-workflow and / or mandantory information is missing). Using the workflow, the software knows who has to sign a certain document. So it's only a preparation-step for the real job here. * "Waiting for your approval" (list of documents the current user has to check and approve / decline / comment. THIS IS A CALL TO ACTION. The user has to check and sign the documents. A clock is semantically wrong since there's no timed-action behind) * "Approved receipts" (list of documents which are approved and ready to be transferred to the next system (bookkeping for example) * "Rejected receipts" (list of documents declined by the approving-users - can be reviewed) * "My receipts" (list of all documents the current user had contact with - a superset of "Waiting for your approval") * "Active receipts" (admin-view: list of all documents in the system) The icons will be placed in a bigger variant on the Dashboard and always visible in small in the top-navigation. See the Screenshot (2020-06-09_091405.png) for an example. Simple coloring is also possible.
Feel free to contact me and ask details. Working step-by-step is good.
