Caboose Studios
We are an advertising agency with both for-profit and non-profit clients. You can read more about us in our 99 Designs bio. One of our clients, CAPE PAC, has hired us to launch a new website for them in their push to help elect Mike Huckabee for President in 2012.
The purpose of the site is to aid CAPE PAC in their support of Governor Huckabee on the road to the White House. We want to be able to drive supporters and contributions through the site and provide our supporters a one stop shop for them to get all of the news that is relevant to the Mr. Huckabee as he prepares for his run at the GOP nomination.
The site needs to be functional, easy to navigate and focused on the candidate. There are several sites that we have outlined that we like the layout, design and functionality of but want something unique. As this is a WordPress based website, there is obviously a lot of focus on the blog. The site needs to be easy to administer and must be fast loading.
Our core audience is 40+ , male female split, United States only and leans from independents to moderate and conservative Republican in their politics.
Sites to use for reference, that we either like or have information about the Governor:

Our favorite, we would be very happy with a site similar to this in all aspects: http://www.timpawlenty.com/
The site must be easy to navigate and load fast; these are two of the most critical components. Web 2.0 look and feel, with a big focus on Twitter and Facebook, with multiple call to action buttons and links around the site, to drive visitors to the supporter signup and contribution pages. Also want an easy to find newsletter signup box prevalent on all pages of the site.
Site navigation to include: home, blog, contribute, about and friends.
Utilizing WordPress we must be able to have full control over the footer that is displayed on every page where we will insert the necessary legalese and disclaimers. We need to be able to format the copy in the footer and/or insert images. The theme of the site should be very easily controlled and adjusted. From a creative standpoint, we want everything to be very red, white and blue with a big focus on the candidate and images of the United States and the American flag. The domain is vote4huckabee.org and we will need a logo designed for this as well, incorporating the domain name – again looking for web 2.0 look and feel.
