layer_9 got their new clothing or apparel by running a design contest:
Design a t-shirt for a cyber security company
Check out layer_9's Clothing or apparel contest…
Layer 9 is an Information Security (i.e Cyber Security) company seeking a t-shirt design to showcase our brand and allow our employees to stand out and be recognisable when at events. We have attached a more detailed brief, but the high level visual style requirements are for the design to be based upon one of the three below options: 1) Pyramid graphic: Pyramid /Triangles are the most secure objects, and we’re a cyber security company whose job is to secure things. We think it’s a neat alternative to the typical cliche padlocks or shields used on designs for most cyber security companies. 2) 9 Layers graphic: Using a graphic to illustrate the brand name layer 9. This could either be simplistically through 9 layers, or via illustrating the 9 layers of the OSI model through a visual treatment (see brand brief for details). 3) Slogan Font style: Using fonts and graphics to convey ‘Take it to the next Layer’ - a simple play on our brand name. We can move away from brand fonts and have some fun with this. From a brand perspective please can the t-shirt incorporate: - Our company’s color orange (#FF6600) - Our company’s name ‘Layer 9’ More detail on this in the submitted brief document attached to this contest.
Apparel description and purpose
A t-shirt for staff, clients and friends of the company. It is a t-shirt we will wear to social events (e.g. conferences, meet-ups, networking events). The shirt and it’s design does not need to look formal, we’re looking for a creative and artistic feel to it.
- The organisation's name “Layer 9” should be on the apparel. - Incorporate the brand colour orange (#FF6600)
What to avoid
Because we’re a cyber security company, we would like to avoid cliche items such as ‘Shields’ or ‘Locks / Padlocks’ in the design as most cyber security companies already incorporate those items into their shirts / website and we want to be different. We also don’t want the shirt to instill fear. Avoid the use of dodgy looking hackers or negative themes.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Clothing or apparel starts at €189.
