RecipePad got their new button or icon by running a design contest:
RecipePad needs a new App Icon.
Check out RecipePad's Button or icon contest…
Created the iPad app RecipePad, which has been featured by Apple as "New and Noteworthy", September 2010. Looking for a new icon for upcoming update.
What's your vision?
Looking for a refreshed and enhanced app icon to accompany a new version of the app. Would like to stick with the current look of the app icon, (the letter R with the ladle and steam), but am open to new ideas. As you can tell from my existing icon, I am not much of a designer, and the steam coming out of the ladle doesn't really look too much like steam. I am looking for an icon with some more realism and an overall professional look, and most importantly, to stand out. The name of the app is RecipePad so any icon that can give the appearance of a pad or a notebook would also be a plus. I am also looking to release a "Lite" version of the app, so any additional badge that would indicate a "Lite" version would be great as well. The icon should look great at 512x512, 72x72, 50x50, and 29x29. PSD file with layers please. I have included the current icon image and a general screenshot of the app. I would also be willing to include the designer's info in an acknowledgement section, and would also be interested in working together on future projects.
The Target audience is for anyone interested in a simple recipe organizer and editor. It also supports YummySoup and MacGourmet recipe export files, so Mac users of those programs can download their recipes to RecipePad. Many of the users are older individuals who enjoy keeping track of their family recipes on their iPads.
